Kevin Turton is an Art Dealer and Entrepreneur based in the UK. Having spent over 15 years in the menswear industry working on Savile Row before moving into art, he has a good eye for simple, well made goods. Kevin is a family man and a keen conversationist. He is always happy to share his views on art, style and even watches since he is a watch collector too. For me he is one of the most interesting persons to follow on Instagram because of the variety in topics he shows. We see watches, art, clothing and all shown in a tasteful yet not too overdone way. This made me decide to ask Kevin the ‘’17 questions to a well-dressed man’’ and the answers he gave you can read below.

What are you wearing today?

Today I am wearing a dark grey suit from SuitSupply with a white shirt from Eton. My tie is black knitted handmade in England. I love Neapolitan style but mixed with some British influences such as shoes etc. My background was working in menswear sales on Savile Row but over time, I have moved towards a lighter more relaxed Italian look. SuitSupply make a lovely jacket with very light shoulder padding. I live in them.

If you had to choose to spend money either on a suit or on a watch, what would you choose?

Always a Watch. I’m a big believer on buying ‘investment’ items. Plus, I’m a watch collector.

What jewellery could a man wear?

In my humble opinion, a signet ring on his little finger and a watch. That’s it.

Tie or a bowtie?

ALWAYS A TIE. A bowtie should be for evening wear only.

Do you remember your first jacket?

Yes it was a Gieves & Hawkes Made to Measure. The cloth was a British made pinstripe with very tapered trousers. I think I still have it in the back of my wardrobe.

What is your favourite watch?

I have a few but I do love my Omega Seamaster. It looks and feels great. Gets more nods of approval than a Rolex.

Fountain pen or ballpoint?

Fountain but practically it’s always a ballpoint for me. Usually Mont Blanc.

Have you found the perfect garment yet?

Not quite but I do think my made to measure trousers from an international tailor are best.

Explain your biggest passion in one sentence?

My passion is my family. After that, art & luxury.

What is your guilty pleasure?

Well it used to be Cola but when I found out I was type 2 diabetic, I quit. So now it’s Cigars.

Who is the best dressed man in the world for you?

Really tough one but I would say Lapo Elkann (when he isn’t going crazy with colour) and Daniel Craig as Bond.

The best book you ever read?

Oh without a doubt, Dale Carnegie, How to Win Friends & Influence people. Game changer for me.

Which city should one go shopping?

London or Napoli.

Tweed or flannel?

Flannel. Tweed is Just to much for me these days. I try to make my style as simply as possible.

The most elegant restaurant in the world for you?

My wife’s kitchen. She makes by far the best food in the world.

Describe your style in three words?

Simple, tailored and smart.

Best purchase you did in the last 6 months?

The new Omega Seamaster 300.
