Matthias Vickermann is a passionate gentleman who is putting a lot of effort in preserving style, quality and craftsmanship. He loves to dress well in bespoke tailored clothes and has a weak spot for vintage watches and cufflinks. He is one of the owners of Vickermann & Stoya which is an innovative bespoke shoemaking house in Germany’s Spa Town Baden-Baden, so as you can imagine shoes are his biggest passion. He therefore also started Shoedoc which is a service that repairs shoes from all over the world and in all kinds of qualities. With a lack of good shoemakers in the world who can still do proper repairs, a very beloved and reliable service. With the Modum shoes concept Matthias puts his effort in the future of bespoke shoemaking and making a pair of bespoke shoes more approachable. The passion he has for craftsmanship and quality products is a deep one and I have been enjoying that in the various ‘’House Exhibitions’’ he organised where all sorts of craftsmen were present. Tailors, watchmakers, winemakers, fine restaurants and many other addresses are in the address book of Matthias. And since he is also chairman of the Baden-Baden retail comunity he will be able to advise you on the best shops and restaurants in town too. I’m very happy to have a man with so many passions answering the ‘’17 questions to a well-dressed man’’.
